The Monsters

what if when you were driving the asphalt turned into monsters that tried to eat your car? This would be very strange and extremely dangerous if the cars that people drove around in were made to the specs that cars are made for today. For example:

the monsters would completely destroy your vehicle, you would need some sort of defensive mechanism to protect you from these beasts. Cars would probably come equipped with missile launchers to do away with such nuisances. Once destroyed, the monsters would most likely leave all kinds of rubble hanging around in your path- it is for this reason that the cars would need treads like tanks to travel over the newly obliterated road.

One answer for all of this is to fly around in airplanes all the time, thus avoiding the monsters. So then what if giant birds ate your airplanes. What if there were monsters everywhere: the road, the air, work, school, in the closet or under your bed, hiding in your little brother's nose- I mean EVERYWHERE. The sucky thing about having so many monsters is that you would be in constant fear for your life. Yes, that precious life that we hold on to so dearly… I'm sure people would start to reproduce with the monsters until their genes were completely integrated with ours. That might be pretty interesting- and perhaps it already happened and now there are only myths of monsters under our beds and all over the place. Perhaps this explains why people have no contact with a god- perhaps the monsters have made us fall from the divine right- but that's not very nice. We can't help it if those monsters are good looking, and damn! What if they're really good in bed? I think god is being a real jerk about this whole monster thing. I mean, why can't he just accept us for who we are and guide us, tell us what to do. What we need is another person that can convince us that he is god. I think in today's world that is impossible, and thus god will elude us for eternity, if he even exists. What really amazes me about the god thing is the defensiveness of others. Why must human relations be destroyed over such an irresolvable issue? It seems almost as if it isn't fair, yet fair to who? Humans? If everyone suffers the same evils then we are all on the same playing field and thus everything is fair.

I just hope that when I wake up tomorrow and run to my car there are no monsters in it. I just hope that on my way to work there are no monsters that will eat me, and I hope that the monsters don't get you either, if i like you ;^).
